Can I do these tasks?
These tasks require the System Administrator or System Customizer security role or equivalent permissions. Customization tasks can be performed only while you are online. More information: Permissions required for customization tasks
Application Mode
Set whether Microsoft Dynamics CRM can be opened in application mode, which means it can be opened in a browser without menus, navigation, or toolbars. Hiding these parts of the browser causes Microsoft Dynamics CRM to appear like a separate application rather than a website. By default, application mode is not enabled.
In the Navigation Pane, click Settings, click System, click Administration, and then click System Settings. Click the Customization tab.
Select the Open Microsoft Dynamics CRM in Application mode check box if you want the Web Application Server to open in application mode.
Click OK to close the System Settings dialog box.
Form Mode
You can set forms in the Sales and Customer Service areas to load by default with or without editing capability. For more information, see the following Help topic: Change the system default for viewing record forms.
HTML Component Support
Enabling HTML Component Support affects Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers of long standing with who still use the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 API. This setting is not needed for any organizations that do not use this API.
Document Mode
By default, this setting loads all pages in the most recent version of Internet Explorer. Changing this setting can have a negative effect on performance and should only be done if absolutely necessary.
